Currently, the AUFINES are not only used for English purpose specifically. As mentioned on the “Background and Update”, due to the fact that the number of new comers has risen considerably, the authorities have requested the linguistics department to enable the use of those classrooms for other specialties to program their schedules and subjects to be taught in such spaces.
That is the reason why, today, we see the AUFINES more neglected and deteriorated. In fact, most of the air conditioners are not working at full capacity because of the continuous usage of the spaces. The maintenance is poorly done due to the lack of time to do it thoroughly. And the caring, students and professors are supposed to have towards their working spaces is questionable.
We just hope that shortly, we have our old own AUFINES to ourselves because it seems that the only ones worried about caring, maintaining and improving those classrooms are us, the English major students and teachers.
